901 Fund was excited to partner with Vitalant to promote their Donor Fest event collecting blood donations in Overton Square. Vitalant’s mission is to unite blood and biologics donors, talent, and innovation to save and improve lives.
This particular charity hit close to home with 901 co-founder, Clay Presley, as a 6-year-oldfamily friend was recently diagnosed with cancer and needed platelet treatments. Only 1 in every 4 units of blood used in a hospital in Memphis comes from Memphis. There truly is a blood supply crisis in the city. 901Fund’s campaign goal was to increase attendance and blood donations at Donor Fest.
We worked with Vitalant leadership to select a group of University of Memphis student-athletes to create social media posts and make an appearance at Donor Fest. Vitalant was an amazing partner for 901 Fund and we are looking forward to partnering again in the future. Thank you to everyone who attended and especially anyone who donated!
