901 Fund athlete and University of Memphis football center, Jacob Likes, was nominated to be a part of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. He and 135 other Division I, II,III and NAIA football players from across the nation are being considered for this honor based on their community service, academic commitment and impact both on and off the field.
The Memphis native has given his time volunteering with Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, Youth Villages, Madonna Learning Center and Sea Isle Elementary School. In his partnership with the 901 Fund, he has used his Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) to support our partner charities such as Church Health, Memphis Athletic Ministries, and Vitalant. This includes posting donation links and event information on social media as well as appearing at events like the Special Olympics Fire and Ice Polar Plunge.
The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team celebrates the leadership and dedication to the community of college football players. These players display character, selflessness and the willingness to serve others. Executive Vice President and General Manager, Allstate Sales and Distribution, Troy Hawkes says, "The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team is arguably college football’s highest honor because it recognizes a player’s integrity and service off the field rather than their performance on it."
We are proud to work with student-athletes who are as dedicated to serving other as they are their athletic pursuits.
