U of M Women's Basketball Players Join National Night Out Events with Memphis Shelby Crime Commission

August 6, 2024

This year’s National Night Out events in Memphis were extra special, thanks to the participation of four standout University of Memphis women's basketball players: Bailey Gilmore, Tilly Boler, Layken Cox, and Destyne Jackson. Teaming up with the Memphis Shelby Crime Commission, these athletes took a break from the court to engage with community members and support the cause of making Memphis a safer place.

The players’ presence at the National Night Out events highlighted the important role that athletes can play in community outreach and support. Their involvement not only inspired attendees but also reinforced the message that safety and community spirit are essential for a thriving city.

The collaboration between 901 Fund and the Memphis Shelby Crime Commission showcases the positive impact of sports figures in local initiatives. Together, we are working towards a safer, more united Memphis.
